WRLB August Slaughterhouse Five by Kurt Vonneut

Happy August WRLBers! This month’s book is Slaughterhouse Five by Kurt Vonnegut. It’s another relatively short one! The reading schedule will be easy this time. We have a little over 200 pages (by my copy) spread through 10 chapters. That gives us roughly 2 and a half chapters a week.

I don’t know why I’m so much more excited about this book than the others we’ve already read. Maybe because I don’t know ANYTHING about it, not one single thing.

Also this is the LAST CALL for thoughts on July’s book, Lord of the Flies, as I will be recording the follow up cast for that tonight. I’d love to hear your thoughts. Contact methods listed below, as always!

Our lead for August will be @jedimasterchief

I’m new to the bookclub but looking fowarrd to reading slaughter house 5…again. I started reading books of the list last year not knowing that this blog existed. Slaughter house 5 is an awesome book. The way the book started, I expected some boring history book narrative, but by the middle it goes from historic to sci-fi. great book and easy read, plus the connections to lost are very signifigant. I am really looking foward to reading it again and sharing with the rest of you
