This entry is part 1 of 1 in the series The Chronicles of Narnia

We’re reading the Chronicles of Narnia by C.S. Lewis for the months of March and April. They are short books and we’ll be reading all seven. To keep up with content though, we’ll spread them out over these two months.

We will also be doing two podcasts. Our leader this month is @scottwelch and I know I’ve seen some other interested parties who will be reading along.

We’re doing them in order of publication order (meaning they won’t be read chronologically according to the story). The order will be as follows for the two months.

March

The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe
Prince Caspian
The Voyage of the Dawn Treader
The Silver Chair

April

The Horse and His Boy
The Magician’s Nephew
The Final Battle

Looking forward to this one! It’s been a long while since I’ve dusted these off!

This entry is part 2 of 2 in the series Through the Looking Glass

Had a great discussion with Elizabeth better know on the interwebs as @MaskedDevera about Lewis Caroll’s second trip down the rabbit hole, Through the Looking Glass.

I always like talking with someone who knows more about the book than I do, and she had an annoted version that really helped me get a better understanding as to the though that went into it!

Download it here, or stream it below.

Happy February! The month of looooooove is upon us! There isn’t much more that I love than Lost! And one of the first great discoveries was the discovery of the Looking Glass Station.

So back down the rabbit hole we go, but this time we’ll go through a mirror (?) and back into Alice’s world. In case you missed it we covered Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland in November. Now we’re completing the journey with Through the Looking Glass. This month our leader is @MaskedDevera, but I remember hearing whispers that @erinava and @lostiegirl78 wanted to join in as well. You are all welcome! Just tweet to @LOST_Bookclub (or comment below) and I’ll make sure you’re in on the podcast scheduling decisions! In the mean time, go grab a copy of Through the Looking Glass (follow for Amazon purchasing) or grab your FREE e-copy on the Apple App Book Store or Kindle.

This entry is part 2 of 2 in the series VALIS

I talked with @batchout aka David and @lawscribe aka Walter about the book VALIS by Philip K. Dick. I went into the podcast a little heavy hearted, because I didn’t really ‘get’ the book, but these two guys really helped me not only grasp the book itself better, but to see the influence it had on Lost.

Listen to the podcast below or download it here. Or seek out a subscription on iTunes!

This entry is part 3 of 3 in the series An Occurrence at Owl Creek Bridge

Jon aka @LOST_boss and I have a BIG discussion on a little short story by Ambrose Bierce titled, An Occurrence at Owl Creek Bridge. We also do some talking about next month’s book, the future books of the bookclub and we even talk a little bit about a non-LOST related book. Click here to listen. [...]

This entry is part 1 of 3 in the series An Occurrence at Owl Creek Bridge

Happy December! This month marks our 7th month reading LOST books and I really feel that each month gets better and better! This month we’re reading a short story. We wanted to do something short as not to interfere too much with the holidays. We’re reading An Occurrence at Owl Creek Bridge by Ambrose Bierce [...]
