Today Cuse, Lindelof and most of the cast spoke at the January press tour of the Television Critics Association, and there were a few interesting snippets of info, but not a lot. As expected, the cast and writers are extremely tight-lipped about what exactly is happening in the final season, though we were promised that some new footage will be released at some point before the episode airs.

-Regarding Libby, Cuse claimed all our questions will be answered, while Lindelof promised they wouldn’t.  I hope Cuse is telling the truth.  The other day a co-worker asked me what is the one unanswered question I most want answered, and it’s: what the heck was Libby doing in the nut house with Hurley.

-The final season will pick up right where season 5 ended, whatever that means

-Interestingly, Cuse and Lindelof claimed that newbies can come into the final season, and that the most important preparation someone could do is rewatch the first season

You can breathe easy now: the White House has announced that President Obama’s State of the Union address will not be held on February 2 – the same night as Lost’s final season premiere.

While they won’t confirm when the address will be held, they did acknowledge that some groups have lobbied to keep the speech away from February 2. “I assume it’s a big deal at ABC,” said press secretary Robert Gibbs.

In response, Carlton Cuse vowed through Twitter that he’ll answer any Lost-related question the president has. Fingers crossed the president does ask something – and he tells us those answers…

Greg Grunberg confirmed to Entertainment Weekly that his ill-fated Oceanic 815 pilot, Seth Norris, is returning for Lost’s final season. “Well, with [the show], they go back and forth in time so you have no idea when and where the last season will take place,” he said. “I may get eaten all over again!”
