A day that will be etched on my brain for perhaps years to come. Too tired to say more at this point, other than for me, it was beautiful, amazing, beyond all my expectations, and I am completely content. Not everyone agrees, and I feel for them truly, but Tweets O’ the Day is meant to be a happy place, so those tweets won’t be here. These tweets are from most of the day and night of Finale Day, May 23, 2010. The #ThanksToLost hashtag was still going strong. I cut it off at midnight Pacific; more tomorrow, obviously. If you are in the US, you may not know that other countries were able to watch the finale at 5 am this morning (5/24) their time. If you’re not in the US, you may not know that we had a two-hour summary/clip show that preceded the finale, and that during commercials, fan messages of thanks and farewell were imposed upon LOST props, and these were referred to as “Final Transmissions.”

Tonight I made my way down to The Reef bar in Adam’s Morgan, the heart of DC. The event, hosted by Jen and Liz of the Washington Post was a lot of fun, and a good time was had by all. There were Lost-themed drink specials, a costume contest, prize give aways, and huge tv screens playing the Pilot episode. I made sure to take a good amount of pictures to capture the evening. The highlight for me was watching my roommate, dressed as Sawyer, ask out an incredibly hot Washington Post videographer and get shot down. Don’t worry Ryan…..plenty of Dharma fish in the sea.
Actually, the real highlight for me was at the end, once most of the people had left, I spent about 20 solid minutes talking with Jen from the Washington Post. She couldn’t be nicer, and I am really looking forward to getting her involved with the LOSTblog rewatch. Ok…onto the pictures:

Remember that LOSTblog has three chatrooms open for live chatting during the TV shows. So with the awesome news that Sky1 will be simulcasting the LOST finale alongside the West Coast TV viewers, this is a good time to broadcast the chatroom addresses for people that want to virtually squee along to the finale, and avoid possible spoilers from Twitter and other time sensitive social networks.

Yes, I was there! LOST Live The Final Celebration. A concert, and a preview of next week’s new episode. I decided to post about it in my favorite way, by posting tweets about it! I drove up from San Diego with my friend Kellie (TVFan4Life on Twitter) and met my friend Cheryl – and many others! – once we got there. Okay? Got it? No big mystery, sorry. LOST IS on tonight, but it’s an enhanced version of Ab Aeterno, so technically it’s not even a true repeat, because we’ve never seen the enhanced version. So watch that! At least one fan is happy about it:

Every Tuesday night…2/2/2010 until the Finale! — Here’s the details arranged by my friend Mina…
Happy hour till 8 at bar upstairs with appetizer and drink specials and live music. At 8:00, all the Losties will be moved downstairs to the side room on the left with the happy hour pricing extended to US and LOST showing on the screens in the semi-private room. That way we have a room to ourselves AND several screens to view so… everyone has a GOOD seat. Excited??? Spread the Word!
