Well since I saw tonight’s episode last Thursday night I already know what should be used for tonight’s episode – OMGs!

LOST Retrospective- LOST Cast says goodbye. Clip shown during ABC’s new Fall schedule presentation.

Thanks to @TheODI

We’ve been plotting and scheming like a bespeckled band geek trapped in a hippie commune on an isolated crazy island.  But we felt bad about keeping you in the dark, so we’re leaking out some deets about the after The End, rewind, and watch from the beginning.  We’re gonna add to our little family to help keep the LOST love bonfires going after we say a tearful good bye to the final episode.

We’re gonna let you all into the circle of trust, but no worries, tell everyone you can about these bullet points that are taking shape from our secret discussions in Horace’s living room:

  • Schedule: Starting the week after Memorial Day in the United States (that’s June 1st for the rest of the world.)  The plan is one episode a week, which should keep the LOST flame alive for at bit over two years.
  • Times: We’ve nailed down two times:
    • 6 PM Tuesday PDT (that’s West Coast US time) lead by Erin (@erinava) with some assistance from Erin (@Loster21).
    • 10 AM Saturday CDT (that’s Dallas time) lead to begin with by me (@LOST_BOSS <- nickname subject to change. ;) ) and possibly @CutePoison10.  This time is hopefully good for UKers and other Europeans that are usually asleep for our normal re-watches.
    • TBD/TBA – We are accepting applications for other leaders for other times. during the week.

It’s getting to be that time again, the ending of LOST is approaching, and I can already tell there is gonna be some poor addicted fans that will be shivering with withdrawal over the lack of new episodes.  The only proven treatment for these poor souls is a bit of the hair of the dog.  Yes, I’m talking rewatch, I’m taking… We’re gonna have to watch that again!

So drawing on my vast experience as the crazy leader of Twitter’s #WFTB craze, I’ve signed up for the madness again.  But, also with the experience as leader of the crazy #WFTB on Twitter, I’m gonna need some help.  So if you’re interested in helping plan, lead, watch, what not, sign up in the comments below.

Here’s a list of things we’ll need to plan.

  • Schedule – no new season so we can stretch this out as long as there is interest.  One episode a week sounds good to me.
  • Times – since LOST watching is a world wide fad, we can have re-watches scheduled at different times so people in the UK don’t have to get up at 3AM to re-watch.  A couple of different times a week sounds good to me.
  • Leaders – someone needs to promote and lead a time slot.  I can’t commit to being a regular leader (contractual obligations as father and head of the household I live in that have just about fired me for twitter addiction, after thrice weekly WFTB sessions over the summer, fall and autumn then this whole lostblog thang), so this is where I’ll need some help.
  • Promotion – we have this handy blog here, and a few people with a few thousand followers to help spread the word.
  • Good Attitude – LOST is fun, so be bright and shiny.

Ya’ll, Season 6 ROCKS!  WOOT!  If you want to know What (TF) is going on on LOST, just scratch the surface of any number of scenes in Season 6!

In the last post, we discussed Jacob’s metaphor (Find “Jacob’s Bottle” HERE).  In this post, we’ll be discussing Jacob’s job.  To do this, we’ll decipher Jacob’s explanation of what he does as told to Ricardo in “Ab Aeterno”: wine corked in a bottle.

Remember Amy’s baseline perspective:  NOTHING on LOST takes place in a PHYSICAL world, but it is ALL REAL.  There is NO timeline other than the sequence of events AS THEY ARE PRESENTED to us in the show.  There’s no “past” except what happened in the prior scene/episode(s).  HERE WE GO!

RUMBLE IN THE JUNGLE

According to my European History professor, the first sign of any great leader is his/her reluctance to go to war.  If your country is attacked, you don’t have much of a choice really, but barring that, a truly great leader does everything in his/her power to avoid starting or going to war.

Ya’ll, Season 6 ROCKS! – puh-LAIN and simple!  If you want to know What (TF) is going on on LOST, just scratch the surface of any number of scenes in Season 6!

In this post, we’ll decipher Jacob’s kooky metaphor of “wine corked in a bottle” as told to Ricardo in “Ab Aeterno.”

HERE WE GO!

JACOB’S TALE

Let’s think back to what Jacob tells Ricardo in “Ab Aeterno,” [and keep your WORDPLAY in mind].

  • Jacob:  [picks up the bottle of wine] Think of this wine as what you keep calling hell. There’s many other names for it too: malevolence, evil, darkness. And here it is, swirling around in the bottle, unable to get out because if it did, it would spread. The cork is this island, and it’s the only thing keeping the darkness where it belongs. That man who sent you to kill me believes that everyone is corruptible because it’s in their very nature to sin. I bring people here to prove him wrong. And when they get here, their past doesn’t matter.

[I've been getting terrific responses to my latest round of "What (TF) is going on on LOST" (keep it coming, lovely LOST readers!).  Many responses were in the same vein, so I've created a separate post to address the primary question.]

Question: “What you’re doing with your theory makes sense, but one thing gives me pause.  How will Team LOST explain a complete backstory [of the island] like the one you outline here with only 4 hours left to go on the show?”

Answer: They won’t.

I strongly advise we prepare ourselves accordingly.

The only way Team LOST can defintively demonstrate that the LOST world is like the one I describe in my posts (not physically real) would be to include a scene that shows someone working on or waking up OUTSIDE the system in the end.  Problem is, that ONE scene will make 99% of LOST fans across the  planet mad at Team LOST for all time.

There’s no way ABC/Disney will let that happen.  My best guess is that LOST will resolve the current story line — connecting, transferring and correcting everyone’s personality in the “sideways” — and that will be the only resolution we’ll get.  Period.

In short, I think they have NO intention of explaining the island at all.

This post is the second in a serious of Final Solution Lost Theory posts. This post will make zero sense unless you read the first one. You can find it HERE.

ME: Are you COMPLETELY nuts! If you cross-connect their memories, you cross-connect their environments! They won’t know which end is up!

THEM: Well, yeah, that’s one of the reasons we created a waiting room and put a team in. Half the team is cross-connected, but only in brief time periods (we call them “flashes”), and they were supposed to be guided directly by two of our top guys.
