MORE of Amy’s Favorite #LOST Fan Vids via Lost Video Island!

One of my favorite LOST art forms are vids, basically music videos created by using clips of LOST.  Once a week, on LOST day, I’ll be posting a few of my favorite fan vids primarily collected from LOST Video Island – a site dedicated to hosting, viewing and “grading” vids.  [I HIGHLY recommend this site if you want to see LOTS of fun and interesting fan art!]

Big news! ABC is now holding a FAN PROMO CONTEST!  Fans are invited to create and submit a 35 sec promo for the LOST series FINALE (which is only 9 weeks away! Bah!).  Fans can create and submit their own creations directly on the ABC site!  If you want, you can even watch and rate promos submitted by other fans!

[Apparently there's some kind of  "shot at having your work shown on TV!"  OH, and "You can win a trip to a LOST party." (?)]

Amy’s official response:  Uh—Whatever.

BECAUSE, vidders at Lost Video Island have been creating amazing LOST promos for YEARS!  So, in honor of ABC and its promo “contest”, this week’s vids are ALL LOST Season 6 Promos, including our featured vid created by “DJC PRODUCTIONS.”  This vid is first in a serious called “Lost Origins,” and it is AWESOME!

While we prepare for the next episode in Season 6 “What Kate Does,” I’ve reviewed the Season 2 episode “What Kate Did”.  Some things may bear remembering in how we interpret the episode that airs tonight.

First image is Jin and Sun emerging from a tent (where Ji-Yeon was concieved?) a nice reunion for them after Jin had been on the other side of the island after surviving the raft blowing up in the Season 1 finale.  Other things to remember going in: Sawyer is in bad shape after getting shot in the shoulder and is unconscious in the hatch.  Shannon was shot in the stomach in the collision between the Tailies and the main group.  I’m sure that Sayid’s gut shot wound is just a coincidence.  Read the rest of the pay-off of that line.

In a smart London hotel, Matthew Fox, the star of Lost, has a killer hangover after a night out in Soho. ‘I’m feeling kinda rough,’ he drawls. ‘I didn’t mean for this to happen but I went out, there was drink, more drink – then even more. It was unexpected.’
Fox, 43, plays Jack Shephard, leader of a group of crash survivors in the show whose final series begins here on Friday. The part was originally written for Batman star Michael Keaton, and Shephard was supposed to be killed off after the first episode.
Fox shrugs: ‘It’s all part of the Lost myth. Strange things happen off screen as well as on. One of the most exciting things about the show for me was that I never knew whether I was going to get killed off. None of us did. Some actors hated it; I loved the idea of never knowing what was going to happen next. Most of us weren’t even told the real ending. It’s important to keep everyone guessing.’
Married to a former model, Margherita Ronchi, with two children, Kyle, 11, and Byron, eight, Fox is currently working on a new superhero movie called Billy Smoke, which is out next year.

Lost without Dr. Jack Shephard

Seeing the Jimmy Kimmel/Matthew Fox staring contest broadcast on Taxi TV today brought back a rush of emotions.

Feelings of lust, fearfulness, animal instincts, courage, agony and heroism. The sentiments that flow through my bloodstream

at a rapid pace whenever I’m watching Dr. Jack Shephard on Lost. I’m ready for the season 6 premiere on February 2nd– one week from midnight!

Here are the clips that get me through the off-season (not in chronological order) and remind me that Dr. Shephard isn’t just the man, but a man. Hubba hubba
